Announcement: Offering Liturgical Engraving Services

With the blessing of the Most Reverend Benjamin, Archbishop of San Francisco and the West, I am offering the services of text-setting, arrangement, and engraving for Orthodox Liturgical music in need. Here are some examples:

• ​Face-Lift: the musical content is all there, but after the 17th photo copy of the photo copy, ink blots and crooked lines are inhibiting its performance (or even though it's readable, you want it to look presentable). I will re-engrave the piece of music using my notation software and return it looking squeaky clean.​
• Lost in Translation: on their way from the old language to English, some of the words aren’t ‘in line’ with the musical setting. (e.g., at the peak of a crescendo, the sopranos jump a fifth to emphasize none other than the article, “THE.” Congregation and choir are both left confused.) With a little rearranging, I can rework the excerpt to better communicate the text - with the support rather than hindrance of the music.
• Tone it Down: If there is a piece of music that you love, for which your choir is not technically equipped, I would be happy to attempt a re-arrangement tailored to your choir’s structure and skill level.
